| Born in the deserts of Southern Africa, Gerard was but a young lad upon moving to North Carolina in the United States of America. Two years later, the parents of the four-year-old cracked. They found the heat unbearable, and the accents beyond comprehension. Thusly, they moved to Minnesota, where the cold is unbearable, and the accents beyond taking seriously. Despite the setbacks, the family of Gerard had finally found a home. This happiness would not last long, however. Within two short years, their visas had expired. Given this dire situation, they moved again, this time to the north. Canada, where the cold is ungodly, and the accents ridiculous. After a year, they were offered citizenship, but denied it. Their home was in Minnesota. The family formed a plan. They would apply for green cards at the American embassy in Montreal. Two years after arriving in the northern nation, they were granted interviews. After some complications with birth-certificates, they were re-granted entrance to the United States! In February of 2001, they arrived in Minnesota, never to leave again. Seven years later, in April of 2008, citizenship was finally graced upon them! Gerard is now a student of the University of Minnesota: Morris, where he studies English and computer science with his friends. |
